Our Commitment

DeLuxeYUL is committed to making deluxeyul.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build with accessibility as a baseline expectation, not an afterthought.

Standards We Target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG 2.1 defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, including blind and low-vision users, deaf and hard-of-hearing users, users with limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and combinations of these.

What We Do

• Keyboard navigation is supported throughout the site, including the mobile menu, cart drawer, search overlay, and forms.
• All images carry alternative text. Product photos use Shopify-managed alt text reviewed during our SEO audit pipeline.
• Color contrast is checked against WCAG 2.1 AA ratios on every page release.
• Animations honor the prefers-reduced-motion media query — vestibular-sensitive users see static content instead of rotating banners or floating product hero images.
• A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page so screen-reader and keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
• Forms include visible labels, accessible error messages, and honor screen-reader announcements.

Known Limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are aware of the following limitations and are actively improving them:

• The third-party Shopify Checkout (where orders are completed) is hosted by Shopify and follows Shopify's accessibility standards. Issues encountered during checkout should be reported to Shopify directly, but please also let us know so we can advocate on your behalf.
• The Virtual Try-On feature requires camera access and WebGL, which are not available in all browsers or to all users. The product catalog remains fully usable without it.
• We do not currently provide audio descriptions for product images. Detailed text descriptions are available in each product description.

Report an Accessibility Issue

If you encounter a barrier on the site — anything that prevents you from completing a task — please tell us. We aim to respond within two business days and resolve issues within 30 days where feasible.

Email info@deluxeyul.com with the page URL, the assistive technology you were using (screen reader, browser, version), and a description of what went wrong.

Continuous Improvement

We conduct an internal accessibility audit on every significant page change. We will commission a third-party WCAG 2.1 AA audit before making any claim of full conformance. Until that audit is complete, this statement reflects our best-effort target, not certified conformance.
